Responsibilities:
The Product Owner will report to a Group Product Manager and work closely with a Senior Product Manager that owns a discrete line of products. Your time will be focused primarily on the activities of a Product Owner, while advancing your skills in the area of product strategy.

  • Become immersed in the company’s existing Agile software development
  • Translating Product Managers’ strategies to tasks for development, ensuring epics created by the Product Manager are appropriately broken down to user stories for development
  • Coordinate with the engineering department to deliver functional solutions
  • Develop, articulate, refine and communicate the goal of a given product
  • Create, communicate and sequence a product backlog
  • Manage sprints in alignment with established goals and backlog priorities
  • Monitor and report on users’ reactions after launching
  • Gather product data, including key statistics and user trends
  • Conduct research to identify customer needs and market gaps
  • Suggest product enhancements to improve user experience
  • Perform quality assurance controls on products
  • Prioritize the implementation of new features, resolving bugs, manage expectations of timelines and evaluate progress at each stage of development
  • Understanding and anticipating the client’s needs to more effectively manage the development process.
  • Work functionally to ensure the proper marketing, positioning, launch of new products and features.
  • Create support and training documents for internal and external users

Qualifications:
  • Some experience as a Business Analyst or Product Analyst an asset
  • Experience working in a high-growth SaaS environment or as a consultant an asset
  • Exceptional work ethic and strong time management skills
  • Excellent communication skills and capable of effectively collaborate with cross functional teams
  • Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships
  • Experience in gathering and interpreting qualitative product data and consumer feedback
  • Hands-on experience with web technologies
  • Familiarity with market research and marketing techniques
  • BS in Business, Finance, Technology, Marketing or similar field
  • Working knowledge in project management tools such as the Atlassian Suite (Jira, Confluence) and Pendo.
  • Experience in Pragmatic Product Marketing Methodology, Scrum Certification is a plus
